The economic activities of the Pungu Community are small scale farming, small business and cutting firewood. A few are employed as casual labourers in Likoni and in Mombasa Island.
OUR CURRICULUM
The Pre-Primary Education categories at Pungu Primary School ensure that children receive a well-rounded foundation for future learning. By focusing on play-based learning and age-appropriate competencies, the school supports each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, preparing them for the transition to Primary School.
Play Group
The Play Group stage is designed for children typically aged 3 to 4 years
Pre-Primary 1 (PP1)
In Pre-Primary 1, which caters to children typically aged 4 to 5 years, the learning experience becomes slightly more structured while maintaining the play-based approach
Pre-Primary 2 (PP2)
The Pre-Primary 2 stage, designed for children aged 5 to 6 years, focuses on preparing them for the transition to Grade 1 in primary school.
Grade 3
Grade 3 is the third year of formal schooling under the CBC and typically caters to children aged 8 to 9 years.
